The only battle I've lost has been the one I've been afraid to fight.
Fear has thousands of eyes and may also see under the ground.
Until now I ignored what terror was: now I know. It is as if a frozen hand settled on your heart. It's as if the heart leapt, to the point of crashing, in an empty abiss.
I tell young people: Do not think of yourself, think of others. Think of the future that awaits you, think about what you can do and do not fear anything. Do not fear the difficulties: I've had many in the past and I crossed without fear, with total indifference for myself.
Have no fear of perfection, you'll never reach it.
One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.
